HVAC Repair Quote McComb#1. Carrier is the original HVAC company

There’s something to be said about an original, and Carrier has been in the air conditioning game as long as anyone. That’s because the company’s founder, Willis Carrier, invented the world’s first air conditioner in 1902.

Since Carrier’s original innovation at the turn of the twentieth century, Carrier—the company he founded in 1915—has continued to grow, expand, and innovate. Today, inspired by the legacy of its founder, Carrier has pioneered major innovations in indoor comfort, energy-efficiency, and reliability.

#2. Leading the way in energy-efficiency

There are few things more important to homeowners today than energy-efficiency. Saving energy means a smaller footprint for the home—and small energy bills through the summer. That’s one of the big reasons why homeowners schedule seasonal AC tune-ups with Southern Air!

Carrier is leading the industry in energy-efficient design, creating systems that use less while cooling more. With up to 21 SEER, the Infinity® 21 Central Air Conditioner is among the most efficient air conditioners on the market today. That’s thanks to a two-stage scroll compressor and computerization that finds the best speed for the system to run at.

If you want the best in energy-efficiency for your home’s next HVAC system, call Southern Air and ask about our lineup of advanced Carrier units.

#3. Built to keep your home comfortable

Energy-efficiency is great, but it’s nothing without comfort. After all, if your air conditioner is energy-efficient but doesn’t keep the heat and humidity out of your home, is it really worth it? Luckily, Carrier units are able to perfectly balance both, providing great cooling for less.

If you’ve been feeling the heat this spring and it’s time to upgrade to a new system, consider a Carrier. With professional installation from the professionals at Southern Air, you’ll have a much cooler summer ahead of you.

Open House celebrating Comfort Air and Yoder’s Heat & Air becoming Southern Air

McComb, MS, May 11, 2018 – Representatives from Comfort Air and Yoder’s Heat & Air announced this week that the two companies have merged resulting in Southern Air.

The merger will create the largest residential HVAC (Heat Ventilation Air Condition) company in southwest Mississippi. Comfort Air was founded in 1994 and purchased by Ira Preuett from Ball, Louisiana in 2010. Mr. Preuett was formerly a resident of southwest Mississippi and graduated from SMCC. Comfort Air has focused on high standards for customer service which includes 7 guarantees that result in the tagline, “Fixed Right Free or It’s Free”.

“We are excited about this merger and what it means for the people of southwest Mississippi. Our two companies have a history of going the extra mile to serve our customers and will continue that standard going forward,” Ira Preuett said.

Yoder’s Heat & Air was founded in 1973 by Andrew Yoder and in 1998 his son James Yoder assumed ownership. James grew up working with his dad doing plumbing, electrical and HVAC work. His years of hands-on experience helped create a company known for high quality work and excellent customer service. The company is well known for “Working to a Higher Standard”.

“I look forward to being involved on a part-time basis. I can now pursue my interest in missions and translation work and know that our loyal customers will continue to receive the same, and in some cases better, service that we have offered for over 45 years,” James Yoder said.

The new company, Southern Air, will focus on continuing a high standard of customer service. Although the merger makes Southern Air the largest HVAC company in southwest Mississippi, customers will still experience the personable service the two companies previously offered individually.

“Actually, the merger will only make us better. We’ll have more technicians and administrative personnel to make sure our customers receive even better service than was possible operating as separate companies,” said Merle Guyton, General Manager.

Southern Air will hold an open house May 11 from 9 AM to 3 PM. Local staff and Lamar Leggett, Regional Manager and former resident of Summit, MS, will be on hand to answer questions and provide information for interested parties.

The Open House event will offer food, door prizes and several grand prizes to celebrate the merger. The Open House and new facilities will be located at 4142 Hwy 51 S, McComb MS. Tune in to local media or visit our website for more details.
